Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service Equipment Donation – November 2022

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS) continues to support Operation Florian projects through the donation of ex-service equipment. This latest donation has been sorted and stored at the charities stores at Washington Hall, Chorley ready for shipping to various projects.

The donation was received by Operation Florian members Tony Burscough and Paul Rigden. As a charity, we are fortunate to have an agreement with LFRS to store containers within their Training Centre.

Without this type of commitment by fire services throughout the UK we would not be able to continue our work supporting fire and rescue services around the world. It also shows the commitment of organisations like LFRS to reduce their carbon footprint by re-circulating ex-service equipment.

Vital water rescue equipment, water rescue helmets, buoyancy aids, throw lines and water rings along with rescue equipment such as airbags, inflation controls, air hose lines and first aid equipment were also included in the donation.
